Meet Your Guide

I’ve been fascinated by magic and mystery for as long as I can remember. As a young child, I talked to boulders, trees, and animals, and played with fairies in the woods behind my house. Ghosts and other spirits often appeared to me, which frightened me, but my strong sense of intuition told me there were also spirits who were my friends.
I was the kind of kid who would lie awake at night trying to imagine infinity and figure out what the spirit world might be.
By my early teens, I was reading everything I could find about Greek mythology and other ancient religions, symbolism, divination, magic, and psychology—a fascination that has continued throughout my life.
In my 30s, married with young children, I had considerably less time to explore these interests, but one habit stayed with me. Long before I knew there was a name for automatic writing, I was doing it. I wrote my journal entries as conversations, asking questions and paying attention to what came back. And wouldn't you know it—answers did come, sometimes on the page and sometimes later, in ways I hadn't expected.

Then my life got considerably more interesting when I met Dutch psychotherapist and spiritual teacher Marie-Thérèse Lips. While translating her books, she became my teacher and mentor. With her, I deepened my practice of meditation—not simply as an exercise in quieting the mind, but as a rich sensory journey into my inner world. I learned to work more deliberately with intuition, energy, psychic perception, and the spirit world—and to better understand experiences that had frightened and confused me when I was younger.
Long before I thought of any of this as work,
people had a habit of telling me things.

From a girl I barely knew pulling me aside at a high-school dance for advice, to my grandmother calling twenty-something me for card readings, to a near-stranger pouring out her troubles during a walk in the woods decades later, somehow I was always the person people talked to.
For years, I read cards, listened, offered advice, and shared what I knew simply because people asked—and because it came naturally to me. Meanwhile, years of books, courses, practices, teachers, and mentors had given me a wealth of knowledge to draw from—much of which I relied on myself through change, loss, uncertainty, and more crossroads than I care to remember.
Eventually, I realized that what I'd spent years learning—and had been sharing with people all along—was something I could teach.
I'm here to share what I've learned —
not to tell you what you must believe.
Over the years, I've explored ideas and practices from both science and spirituality. I’ve tried the ones I was drawn to, kept the ones I found meaningful and useful, and forgotten the rest. I don’t believe you have to accept an entire belief system in order to find value in one of its practices. The result is a living spiritual practice shaped by what I’ve learned and experienced.

I think of this as Creative Mythology.
The same is true of guidance. You might call it God, Spirit, your Higher Self, an angel or guide, the Universe, your subconscious, or all of the above. You don't have to agree with me about where it comes from in order to experience it for yourself.
Ask. Listen.
Pay attention to what happens.
Draw your own conclusions.

Magic without costume.
Spirituality without dogma.
Guidance without dependency.
