I Wore the Red Skirt: Learning to Trust Your Intuition
Have you ever had a strong feeling that you should do something, even when it didn't make much logical sense?
In this personal story, I share what happened when I followed a series of intuitive nudges—including one that told me to wear a rather fabulous red tulle skirt. I couldn't see where any of it was leading at the time. But by listening to my inner guidance and acting on it anyway, I unexpectedly found myself onstage in a packed theater, living out a moment I had already imagined.
How to Trust Your Intuition When It Doesn't Make Sense Yet
Intuitive guidance doesn't always arrive with an explanation. Sometimes it's a feeling, an image, an idea that appears out of nowhere, or a quiet nudge to do something that seems insignificant at the time.
That's one of the things this experience taught me. I didn't know how the pieces were going to fit together. I simply kept paying attention and following the nudges as they came.
Of course, not every passing thought is intuition, and following your inner guidance doesn't mean knowing exactly what will happen. For me, it's about learning to notice those moments of inner knowing, acting on them when they feel meaningful, and remaining open to where they might lead.
Sometimes you don't need to know the whole path. You just need to recognize the next nudge—and be willing to follow it.
